ANSVIS Server License Activation

After connecting to a server, the ANSVIS License dialogue will ask for a license key to active the server ID (target device)

You can use the ANSVIS 30-day trial license by pressing Activate Trial License (1)

Or activate ANSVIS Server with a purchased license key

Manage Licenses

If the license key is purchased online, it will be listed on your web portal.

If the license key is handed over to you directly, you can optionally submit it to the Web Portal for tracking if needed.

Please copy the license key to proceed to activation

Activate License with Internet Access:

If the ANSVIS Server has internet access, you can activate it by pressing the Activate License button, enter your license key, and then click Validate

Once the validation is successful, the ANSVIS Server will be activated.

Activate License without Internet Access:

If the ANSVIS Server doesn't have internet access, follow these steps to activate the server

Step 1: Generate the OfflineTargetInfo.json File

The OfflineTargetInfo.json file contains information about the server hardware ID and license key to help verify your license and hardware with the ANSCENTER License System.

From ANSVIS Client:

  • Press Activate License (1)

  • Paste the License Key and press Generate Offline Target Info File.
  • Save the file to a dedicated USB drive or any accessible means.

 

Step 2: Generate the Activation.json file

The Activation.json file encrypts the activation key to your server ID and registers it for management in the ANSCENTER License System. Only that server ID can use the activation.json file to activate the software.

These steps will be performed on another PC with an internet connection to access the web portal:

  • Go to Web portal > License> Offline Activation
  • Upload the OfflineTargetInfo.json from step 1 and press Submit
  • The Portal will return the Activation.json file. Download and bring the file back to the ANSVIS Client.

Step 3: Validate the Activation.json file

From ANSVIS Client:

  • Press Validate Activation File (1)

  • Load the Activation.json file from step 2
  • Press Validate

  • If the license key is valid, the server will be activated

You can also use ANS License Manager installed on each ANSVIS Server to activate the server online/offline, but using the built-in ANSVIS Client function is much quicker as you can switch and connect to different servers using the ANSVIS Client.
